For the bajji batter

Red chili powder

Salt to taste
Instructions
To chop Raw Banana
Cut the 2 edges, peel the skin from the raw banana using a peeler. Cut them into 2 equal pieces.
Slice the raw banana into thin or medium sized pieces slices.
Keep these slices immersed in water to avoid discoloration of the slices.
To make bajji batter
In a mixing bowl, mix besan,rice flour,ajwain,haldi,chilly powder,hing soda and salt.
Add water little by little. Mix such that no lumps are formed.
Batter should be slightly thicker than dosa batter consistency.
Bajji batter is ready
To make raw banana bajji
Drain the banana slices and spread on a kitchen towel / cloth . Let all the extra moisture dry out .
Heat sufficient oil in a deep bottomed pan or kadai.
Once the oil becomes hot, take each slice of banana and dip it in the batter to coat it evenly.
Gently slide this coated banana slice into the oil and deep son both the sides till golden brown.
Cook both sides until golden brown and crisp
Once done transfer the bajjis on a tissue paper to drain excess oil.
Enjoy hot hot balekai bajji as it is or with ketchup or cocomut chutney .
