AN EVENING AT McCAFE , BANGALORE – A RESTUARANT REVIEW !!

Right from my childhood i have always loved coffee.Sipping a perfectly made coffee makes me feel refreshed and rejuvenated. So a few days back when i was invited to review the newly launched ” McCafe , Bangalore “, i was more than happy to accept it.

McCafé is one of McDonald’s successful global brand extensions which was created and launched in Melbourne, Australia in 1993 by McDonald’s Licensee Ann Brown. McCafé is a unique in-house-coffee style chain . A wide selection of gourmet coffees and desserts are available at McCafé.Today, there are over 15,000 restaurants that sell the McCafe products worldwide.

India’s first McCafé was launched at Mumbai in Oct 2013. In a span of eighteen months McCafé has expanded across 41 restaurants in 6 cities – Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Nashik, Aurangabad, Pune & Bengaluru. This quick roll-out has been enabled due to McCafe’s unique storein-store format. In Bangalore 3 McCafés at HSR Layout, Banashankari and JP Nagar Centralhas been opened in a span of one month.Coffee is the third line extension for McDonald’s in India after it added McDelivery and Dessert Kiosks in the last few years.

Coffee beans at McCafe india is sourced from Chickmangalur .McCafé uses only 100% Arabica coffee beans. Each bean’s distinctive flavour is a signature of its particular land of origin. After picking and roasting, the end product is the perfect balance of aroma, full-bodied taste and sweetness, combined with a rounded smooth aftertaste.

Cappuccinos are composed of espresso, whole or non-fat steamed milk and topped with frothy milk. McCafé cappuccinos are available with Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla. here’s how a capucinno is made…

The end product is the perfect balance of aroma, full-bodied taste and sweetness, combined with a rounded smooth aftertaste.

Mochas include espresso, whole or non-fat steamed milk and chocolate syrup, topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

Lattes feature espresso and whole or non-fat steamed milk with the option to add Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla.

Frappes is an ice blended coffee which is thick, smooth and consistently delicious cold drinks

Other than cappucinnos, mochas ,lattes and frappe , Mc cafe also has brewed iced coffee , iced speciality teas and hot chocolate .A complete range of desserts too is available at McCafe.

Pricing
The McCafé menu offers a range of exciting options competitively priced to add that extra value that customers always look for. Beverages range from Rs. 90 for a latte or cappuccino and Rs. 110 for a frappe .Lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and brewed iced coffees are available in a variety of sizes, including small, medium and large.
Go to MacD and you don’t eat fries ?? Impossible… finally we did indulge in the hot fies and some burger ….
