Recently one of my friend invited us to Flechazo – a relatively new restaurant in Whitefield . Though i stay very far from Whitefield i accepted the invitation as i had been hearing a lot of good things about Flechazo off late and wanted to try myself too .
Nestled comfortably on the main road with an easy access , Flechazo is a mutlicuisine Mediterannean-Asian restaurant offering a spectacular buffet and promises to make you fall in love with it at first sight . In fact the word ‘Flechazo’ translates into ‘love at first sight’ in Spanish .
The restaurant serves Mediterranean-Asian food, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The food just keeps coming- the starters are served on the table and include a long list of of items to choose from.. Cajun Potatoes , Crispy corn , Paneer Kebab , Pineapple Kebab , Stuffed Mushrooms , baby corn salt and pepper etc . The interesting mocktails were nice accompaniments .
They have a very amusing Food Shots counter with a relay train that has bite sized nibbled on shot glasses continually taking rounds. These include: sushi, dim sums, shrimp cocktails, pani puri , papdi chaat , dahi bhalla , tapas etc.
There was one ” Make your Own Pizza Counter ” which had grabbed all the attention and there was one huge exciting crowd who were eagerly waiting to make their own pizza . Right from rolling out dough to choosing the toppings to placing it into the oven to bake aI know sounds fun right ?
There is also a live Pasta counter to accommodate most of your Italian cravings.
Now coming to the main course:
After heavy starters we really could not try much of the main course items. The buffet had a wide variety ranging from numerous salads , number of curries , Biryani , Noodles , rice , rasam ,Dal etc .
No meal is complete without desserts .There is live Jalebi Counter , excellent Macaroons, variety of pastries and Indian desserts and yes live flash Nitrogen Ice Cream counters …to end the meal on a sweet note . The nitrogen ice cream making put on quite a show with so many curious eyes watching the smoky fumes … including my kids 🙂
All in all we had a great time at Flechazo and would definitely recommend the buffet . The portions are generous, the flavours reflect love, hospitality is a way of life and food is culture. It is a unique, new culinary region by itself which combines the beauty of two of the world’s best culinary treasure troves. It is all about Celebrating MediterrAsia!
I visited this restaurant on a weekend and it was pretty packed . The restaurant is quite popular with employees from the number of companies surrounded by … so getting a table on week days can be quite tough. Prior reservation is advisable, if you plan to visit here. For more details on offers / festivals etc do follow them on FB .
