Right from my childhood i have always loved coffee.Sipping a perfectly made coffee makes me feel refreshed and rejuvenated. So a few days back when i was invited to review a cafe lounge ” Mr Beans – Home Cafe “, i was more than happy to accept it. Its been a week since i visited the home cafe and today here i am sharing with you all my first restaurant review. Hope you all love reading it ,as much as i loved being there .
ABOUTÂ ” Mr.BEANS “- THE COFFEE LOUNGE :
Mr.Beans ,a name that is synonymous with the Indian coffee retail market for quality and innovation.Founded on 12 July 2002 , the company has outlets in Indore,Jaipur ,Ludhiana,Nagpur,Ahmadabad and Bangalore . Mr.Beans, coffee lounge is sited as destination rather than just a coffee joint. The pleasant aroma of various coffee flavors inside the outlet mingled in the cool and cozy environs of the cafe ,revives each and every guest.Mr. Beans has won the Times Food Award for The best coffee bar for two years consecutively (2013- 2012, 2012-2011).
ABOUTÂ ” Mr.Beans – Home cafe “,Bangalore
Mr. Bean’s coffee shop is the ultimate place for coffee lovers. But, its not just a coffee shop, you get a variety of other food items ;a unique place to hang out.The whole highlight of the place is to create a homely atmosphere.
LOCATION
The place is very approachable not hard to locate at all .Its right on the main road right next to BDA Complex at Koramangla 100 ft road .I reached there on time without any difficulty and received a heart warming welcome from outlet manger Mr. Shashidhar Roy .
AMBIANCE
The first thing that attracted me was the interior. It’s beautiful. It’s actually a house turned into a café , white painted influenced by the French architecture, which adds that rustic value to it.They have creative photos, cheesy wallpapers and catchy qoutes all over.
Another unique aspect is that, unlike other cafes, this is not one big room. The cafe has a few finely separated lounges with cushy furnishing and a homely ambiance. There is this nice little dining room which has a dining table sort of arrangement which is impressive. They have a foosball table in one of the lounges for all those die hard foosers.Fun board games for those entertainment addicts. They have a section of books, magazines and comics for kids & wifi too .And happy news is that, all these amenities are for free.
I walked around the place looking for a place for myself, I was not rushed.I chose to sit at a nice comfy table for two.You have the option to sit out in the garden too.
MENU
With varied varieties in beverages to choose from coffees, teas, smoothies, milkshakes to fizz drinks ;you also have enough options to choose from snacks to pair up with them ;for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. The food is mostly European but altered a little to cater indian taste buds.It comprises of salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, wraps, waffles, crepes, nachos etc. They have an all -day breakfast menu as well.I ordered for grill sandwich, tri chilli pizza, red pasta,Cappuccino, kit kat shake and Macarons .
Veg grill sandwich was fresh ,soft and served well with an eye catching presentation using salad .
Tri chilli pizza was my favorite for the day. It was a thin crust pizza ,baked to perfection, very tasty and spicy. Loved it …
Red Pasta was just good , macaroons was not up to my expectations.Felt the flavors little artificial. But my hubby liked it.Cappuccino was perfect .Light ,foamy and very relaxing.Liked the very look of it..
KitKat shake again was awesome. Got to know that its an all time favorite of regular customers…Overall i would rate 4/5 for food.
SERVICE
I noticed that service was prompt, polite, and waiters were efficient while taking the order and serving the food. But service was a bit slow but its fine as people come there mainly to hang. The staff were very courteous and make you feel comfortable.
VALUE FOR MONEY
WHAT I LIKED MOST
- You can come here alone and spend you whole day reading books. You can come here with a date and spend some quiet time. You can come with a bunch of friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon, play board games and foosball and you wouldn’t know how the time flew by or just hang around catching up with long pending stories.Got to know from manger , that they have few customers who spend hours and hours here and they do not rush them at all .They believe in the chill-and-let-chill school of thought.. So cool na…
- Good amenities to keep one engaged ..all for free. Even the kids are not left behind , saw good collection of Archies n other comics.
- Variety in menu and uniqueness in taste.
- Â If you planning for a surprise birthday parties for your friends or an anniversary for your loved ones, they can get it done for you as per your tastes.
FINAL VERDICT
“Mr.Beans – Home Cafe ” has broken the monotony of the same old cafés in town.If you are planning to catch up with your friends or want to spend some quality time with your partner or just a plain foodie; this is a place to be.I recommend ! Keep up the good work guys..
