I am sure most of us love sandwiches . So today i have for you all a simple,easy ,quick n very very healthy “Indian Vegetarian Avocado Sandwich recipe / Guacamole Sandwich Recipe “. Grilled sandwich with creamy, cheesy avocado filling along with crunchy veggies makes this Indian Vegetarian Avocado sandwich very filling and tasty . This sandwich is perfect for weight watchers delight and kids friendly too . It is perfect for breakfast or as a snack or any time of the day!
Remember i had posted guacamole recipe few days before ? Whenever i make guacamole … i always make guacamole sandwich as i love having them for my lunch . This sandwich is any day better than cheesy ones.. adding onion , cucumber tomato etc makes the sandwich more healthy , fulling and gives a good crunch in between . But ye s.. if you are making it for kids .. you can keep a slice of cheese in between the sandwich or add some grated cheese / paneer .. but i don’t . I love my avocado sandwich this way ..you too give a try and enjoy the healthy treat …
Do check some other sandwich like spinach corn cheese sandwich , paneer sandwich etc .
INDIAN VEGETARIAN AVOCADO SANDWICH RECIPE / GUACAMOLE SANDWICH RECIPE
Ingredients
to make sandwich
- 4-6 bread slices
- 3-4 tbsp Guacamole
- few Onion slices
- few tomato slices
- few cucumber slices
- Chaat masala to taste
- Pepper powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- butter to grill
to make guacamole
- 1 ripe Avocado
- 1 medium size tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 medium size Onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 Green Chilli, finely chopped
- few Jalapeno, finely chopped
- few Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Lemon juice to taste
- Pepper powder to taste
- Salt to taste
Instructions
to make avocado spread / guacamole
- Cut avocado into half and remove the seed.
- Using a spoon scoop out the pulp into a mixing bowl . Discard the skin .
- Using a fork .. mash the avocado nicely . How much you want to mash is your choice .. whether you want chunky or mushy .
- To the mashed avocado pulp , add finely chopped onion , tomato , green chilli and jalapeno .Add salt , pepper powder and coriander leaves .
- Mix everything well . Finally add lemon juice and mix .
- Yummy easy healthy guacamole is ready to relish !!! Enjoy
Time to make guacamole sandwich
- Spread a tbsp of the guacamole spread on one side of the bread,
- Place onion , tomato and cucumber slice on it
- Sprinkle little salt , chat masala and pepper powder on the veggies .
- Cover with another slice of bread .If you want you can eat it this way or proceed and toast . i like toasted version . For grilling you can either use tawa / grill pan /sandwich maker . I have used grilled sandwich maker . Once its hot , gently apply little butter to both the sides of the sandwich and grill it . Butter gives nice color and crispiness to sandwich .
- Once they are nicely toasted , transfer to a serving plate .
- Indian avocado sandwich / guacamole is ready to enjoy !!! Enjoy them hot / warm
