About the Recipe :

Dry fruits milkshake is one of the popular drinks across Indian restaurants and in the juice centers .It is popularly made during the month of Ramadan as it is quite filling and easy to make. It’s rich ,it’s creamy , it’s tasty and so easy to make at home . Just one sip of this creamy milkshake will make you say ” Aha ..” !!

When we are tired and drink this dry fruits milkshake .. it gives instant energy. The best thing about this is, it’s not just summer special drink.. but a drink loaded with lots of health benefits for all age groups . The milkshake is so good for kids ,you can give them as after school drink.

How to make Dry fruits Milkshake

  • Take 5 fig , 5 de seeded dates , 5 walnuts , 5 badam , 10 cashews , 10 raisins and 10 pistas.
  • Transfer them to a bowl . Add 1/2 cup hot water and soak for 30 mins.
  • After 30 mins , if you observe the dry fruits would have soaked well.
  • Transfer the soaked dry fruits to a blender including water. Grind smooth
  • Since we have soaked dry fruits , grinding them smooth is easy .
  • Next , to it add 1.5 cup chilled milk , 1/2 cup frozen milk , you can add sugar or honey as per your taste , ½ tsp Rose essence / vanilla essence for flavor .
  • Add all these and blend 2-3 times. Let they combine together
  • Milkshake is ready to serve . Keep the it little thicker for best taste. You could garnish with few dry fruits in the end .

Few points to note

  • If you don’t have few of these dry fruits , it’s ok .. you can skip . Also , you can add or omit few of these dry fruits quantity mentioned in the list based on your choice.
  • If you soak the dry fruits for some time in hot water , It’s easy to grind smooth.
  • If we keep regular milk in freezer , it will freeze to become ice cubes . Makes dry fruit milk shake more creamy and tasty .
  • You can add sugar or honey as per your taste. To make it more healthier , I have added here honey instead of sugar .
  • Dates , fig and raisins already has sweet in it , so add sugar accordingly
  • For flavor you could add rose or vanilla essence . If you don’t have essence , you can add cardamom.
  • from the mentioned quantity of dry fruits , we can easily make 2 big glasses of milk shake .
