I am sure most of us love sandwiches. Recipe for Tofu sandwich is not at all complicated and anyone can do. This sandwich doesn’t make more than 10-15 minutes to put together. Great for breakfast or to put in kids lunch box or after school snack / great tea time snack !! Grilled perfectly they taste too yummm !!!
We all know how healthy Tofu is , this sandwich is one tasty way to include it in your menu . If you like plain / doing for small kids , you can reduce spices and keep it minimal. Can make it more cheesy of for kids . If you like spicy, you can do masaledar as i have shown. Whichever way you opt .. end result is very delicious. Ingredients required
Bread – use good quality fresh bread. You can either use white or brown bread can be used.
Tofu – you can use any brand fresh & firm tofu
Cheese – use mozzarella cheese/ cream cheese / grated cheese / cheese slice based on availably and preference. If vegan ,can skip .
Mayo : Makes the sandwich filling more creamy .
Chilli flakes , sauce & italian Spices – for some flavor and peppy taste . Quantity you can alter based on preference
How to do Tofu sandwich :
- Dice Tofu into small small pieces .


- Take a pan and heat a tsp of butter .To the butter , add finely chopped garlic , saute golden.

- Add chopped onion and saute translucent .

- Add sliced capsicum , tsp salt and saute for a minute .

- Add diced Tofu ,tsp chilli flakes and Italian seasoning. Mix everything and allow to cool.

- To the cooled tofu mix , add mayo , tomato sauce , pizza sauce , diced / grated cheese . Combine everything well .

- Cheesy , saucy tasty tofu sandwich stuffing is ready.

- Take bread slice, top with tofu mix, and cover with other slice.

- Apply butter and Toast bread in a pan / a grill till golden.

- Cut into half and serve.

Few points to note while making Tofu sandwich
- Use any bread of your choice.
- For the filling, you can use grated cheese /cream cheese/mozarella cheese/ sandwich spread/mayonnaise , whichever you like or have handy.If vegan , skip cheese
- You can reduce or increase the quantity of cheese to taste and preference.
- The quantity of pizza sauce , chilli flakes depends on your taste and preference.
- You can make sandwiches using the sandwich maker or Tawa. But the ones made griller sandwich maker tastes so even more delicious and crunchy

Tofu sandwich recipe
Ingredients
- 100 gm Tofu
- tsp Butter
- 3-4 flakes Garlic, finely chopped
- 1 medium size Onion, sliced
- 1 no Capsicum, sliced
- 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 tsp Oregano / Italian seasoning
- 2-3 tbsp Mayo
- 1-2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tsp Pizza sauce
- Cheese, as required
- Bread slice
- Butter as required to toast
Instructions
